Just a quickie. I don’t have too much time here for even a picture or you tube video…Quick, before you miss the movie – there’s no time to get to the ATM – just whip out the credit card; 1,2 …7 people. “And that will be…$X”.
The after movie dinner cost about the size of what the piece of plastic can handle. Or is that all? What about that present? That side trip. “How will you be paying sir?” At the classy hotel and restaurant.
And yes you could be paying for it for the rest of the year. Even with that plastic, my main advice is not to ever run out of credit in such a far away place. Imagine running short in China when you live is Canada is certainly not fun. Getting stranded is less than an appealing prospect.
So what must you do?
1) Budget accordingly.
2) Keep track of all expenses.
3) Know your daily limits.
4) Take 2 or more credit cards,- generally choose among – Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners Club and even the odd Interact debit card.
5) Use some international cash like American Dollars and some local currency too.
6) Use cash as much as possible for security purposes (and stop flashing them around unless you want to get robbed).
7) Spread out your credit cards and cash in different locations about your body (hand bags, pockets, different wallets, etc.).
