Land Of Business Opportunities With An OLYMPIC Smile
So far, this is the biggest Olympics ever! And how did China pay for this Summer Olympics? They created the land of business opportunities.
After Beijing was announced to host the 2008 Summer Olympics, China went on a frenzy of rebuilding every conceivable infrastructure they could. The Olympic village was created, the mega airport, the high speed rail, the stadiums, etc, etc. All this activity also created a huge business boom. Many home based businesses became industrial productions. There have been more millionaires created in China than anywhere else in the world over this period. And today, there are still over 100 billionaires there!
So, it stands to reason that one would try to get a piece of the action over there – especially when they are flush with success and many are gaining financial freedom and hungry for business opportunties.
“OLYMPIC” A Smile For You From China
After all that China had to endure on the run up to this stage, I thought a smile will be good.
Tips if you go there:
1) Remember to get your visas at the Chinese consulate or embassy well ahead of time – it normaly takes only a few days but may take over a week now because of the rush to the Olympics. But of course, there are those that can get it done in a matter of minutes…(wink, wink)!
2) Bring your credit cards (safely tucked away) in seperate wallets and use cash only for the best deals. You can get exchange of RNB while there (banks give better deals). Beware of the sharks and bargain when you buy anything…it’s a way of life.
3) While you’re there take in the sights of the natural wonders too for example, The Yangtze River cruise, The Great Wall, Guilin, Li River, Shaanxi Province, Yunan River, or even Tibet. Just pick one or you’ll regret missing it. Check out the new vibrant citiesand the nightlife of Shanghai too. It’s not too expensive to travel in China.
